Smiling Assassins

Two similing assassins – Barack Hussein Obama and James Eagan Holmes

Aurora, Colorado tragedy: The latest mass shooting in the US

Obama told the crowd that, “the federal government stands ready to do whatever is necessary to bring whoever is responsible for this heinous crime [20 July 2012, 12 shot dead, 59 wounded] to justice. And we will take every step possible to ensure the safety of all of our people.”

This is demonstrably false. By its plundering of resources and military aggression overseas and its social destructiveness at home, the US ruling elite, with Obama at its helm, has made life immeasurably less safe for the American population.

Obama continued, waxing philosophical, “We may never understand what leads anybody to terrorize their fellow human beings like this. Such violence, such evil is senseless. It’s beyond reason.”

This from the man who helps draw up a weekly “kill list” of those targeted for assassination in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen and elsewhere.

It is too early to attempt to explain [24-year-old shooter James Eagan] Holmes’ action. Many more facts will emerge. This much can be said with certainty. Since the Columbine massacre, social life in America has sharply deteriorated and social tensions have only increased.

Past tragedies, including the Columbine [20 April 1999, 13 shot dead 21 wounded], Virginia Tech [16 April 2007, 32 shot dead 13 wounded] and Giffords shootings [8 January 2011, 6 shot dead 13 wounded] have gone unexplained and unaccounted for, and the Aurora tragedy will be no different.

There’s no problem you can’t cure with a gun in America.

The trick lies in being ‘fair and square’ about who gets to eat the lead that “solves” your problem. And that’s what Americans are Exceptionally Good at Divining.

Barry’s problem is how to keep the Wehrmacht’s wars going when we have no real enemies.

The Oilpatch and the Israelis can help with the choice of the of victim populations, but you need a rationale to choose the individuals sacrificed from among them. It’s gotta be “clean”. “Surgical”. At least able to be sold as same. And it’s good if no Americans die. Better if they can kill 9 to 5. Just a regular job.

Drones.

And Barry confers with his “confessor” … Jesuit trained John O Brennan. Nihil obstat. Imprimatur. A “just” hit. Problem solved.

We don’t have the data on James Eagan Holmes’ problem. It was obviously very “disturbing”. Required a lot of killing to ease his difficulties, just as Barack Obama’s do, too.

But an “ordinary” American citizen has no Fordham-trained casuist to fall back on.

He’s gotta make his decisions on who has to die to “solve” his problem all by himself. Maybe get some help from the I-ching, or a roll of the dice, but that’s about it. So, like more and more “ordinary” Americans with “disturbing” problems, James Eagan Holmes went for the random solution. Some people win the lottery, some people have to die to “solve” others’ problems. But everyone has an “equal” chance.

America. President or “ordinary” student of “neuroscience” … makes no difference. Murder is the “solution” to our nation’s problems at every level.

The perennial problem is who has to die. But we are Exceptionally Good at choosing victims. It is our mad but Manifest Destiny to Divine just who it is who has to die.

He’s running for election. He feels it’s his “duty” to go and “console” the families of Other Peoples’ Victims ….

Obama to meet families of shooting victims in Colorado

President Barack Obama travels to Colorado on Sunday to meet families bereaved after a shooting rampage at a movie theater in a Denver suburb that killed at least 12 people and wounded 58.

… he ought to be consoling the families of his own victims …

As Obama Expands Drone War, Activists & Victims’ Advocates Join D.C. Summit on Growing Civilian Toll

Pakistani lawyer Shahzad Akbar, who represents families of civilians killed in U.S. drone strikes … has just arrived in Washington, D.C., to attend the “Drone Summit: Killing and Spying by Remote Control,” organized by human rights groups to call attention to the lethal rise in the number of drone strikes under the Obama administration.

… he ought to stop his own killing …

Families of Americans killed by drones file suit

The lawsuit, which was prepared in part by the American Civil Liberties Union, represents the most direct legal challenge yet to the Obama administration’s decision to kill U.S. citizens in counter-terrorism operations without open due process measures or scrutiny from courts.

… It’s a crime to vote for a murderer who brags he’ll kill again …

US Drone Strike Kills 13 in North Waziristan

There is a mood of panic in the Shawal area of Pakistan’s North Waziristan Agency this evening, after US drones fired eight missiles against a house in the district, near the Afghan border, killing 13 people.

None of the people killed in the attack have been identified, but all were predictably labeled “suspects” by officials. Drones still loomed overheard during the evening, with locals concerned it meant more attacks are coming.

The US, however, has ruled out ever ending the attacks, citing the number of “militants” they have killed. The exact number is a matter of major dispute, as President Obama’s term in office alone has seen the deaths of thousands of Pakistani tribesmen, but only about 1 in 40 people killed are ever identified.

Gun sales skyrocket after Colorado massacre

Gun sales in Colorado have skyrocketed in the days since the Aurora, CO massacre.

Jake Meyers tells the Denver Post that he arrived for work at Rocky Mountain Guns and Ammo on early Friday to find a line of 15 to 20 people waiting outside of the store. Three days later, he said surging gun sales yielded “probably the busiest Monday all year” and that, for the first time all year, firearms classes taught by the store’s staff were booked for three weeks straight.

“It’s been insane,” Meyers says.
