Google to track users… like never before!
In a move that has triggered outrage, Google has announced plans to bring all data collected from users’ separate accounts on its sites into a combined profile. Besides raising dubious questions about privacy, this offer is one you… cannot refuse… There is no way of opting out of the changes.
Neither is there anyway to opt-out of communicating with friends who insist on using gmail accounts.
One’s ‘friends’ may be trend-addicted enough mindlessly to hand all of their correspondence to the Googleplex to analyse, index, to extract features from, to sell to the highest bidder… and to deliver to the NSA or whatever government asks for it… but they are also handing over all of your correspondence with them to the Googleplex at the same time… even if you yourself are not a hopeless trend-addict and are not unmindful of just what an evil presence on the internet Google has steadily become since going public.
Real friends don’t deliver friends to Google, wily-nily.

Here in Thailand… ICT to lay down law on Twitter accounts
ICT [Information and Communication Technology Ministry] permanent secretary Jeerawan Boonperm said Twitter’s move to censor or block content regarded as offensive in particular countries was a “welcome development”.
The ICT Ministry will contact Twitter shortly to discuss ways in which they could collaborate, she said.
Mrs Jeerawan added the ICT already receives “good cooperation” from companies such as Google and Facebook in ensuring that Thai laws are respected.
Under the new system, a tweet from a Thai poster could be blocked in the Kingdom at the request of the government, a company or an individual.
Just like Article 112.
